New era, new kitchen trends. While minimalism and increased gold appliances were huge for 2018, the new year is bringing in a couple of different ideas for the heart of the home. If you are arranging a kitchen reno--or only want to get inspired--you will need to know what designers do for 2019. We talked with some of our trusted sources to hear what they're seeinginstalling and -- this season.
"I love the swing toward bold colored cabinetry instead of the anticipated white," designer Danielle Rollins informs House Beautiful. "It actually gives a kitchen a personality and finish. "Denise McGaha agrees, saying she's using color on walls, cabinets, as well as appliances (such as a plum-colored LaCanche range she's now installing for one lucky client). Need a drive? 2. Minty Fresh
Even more specifically, designers say mint green is the color du jour. Everybody seems to want light green cabinetry," says Jennifer Beek Hunter, demonstrating this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still piled in style.
3. Natural Stone
To balance out all that color, incorporate natural elements. In accordance with Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"individuals are falling in love with all the abstract canvases painted by Mother Nature and utilizing natural rock beyond countertops. Designers are continuing the rock material to waterfall tall and edges backsplashes." Occasionally they take the rock all the way into the ceiling, and you may even fabricate drawer fronts and hood vent covers from pure stone.
4. Matte Black Everything
Meanwhile, as cupboards are becoming warmer, some appliances are taking another sort of remarkable turn. "Matte black fixtures and hardware are growing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was once a stark option in all white modern kitchens is presently a fun way to subtly add contrast to wood cabinets and more traditional, Shaker-style kitchens"
5. High Tech
1 fashion designer Niki Papadopoulos does not see going anywhere is"tech effortlessly incorporated into appliances," she says. The ideal example? Samsung's Family Hub fridge, which includes a touchscreen display, interior cameras, and WiFi connectivity, which means it is possible to search recipes in the refrigerator, see what's inside as you are searching, and leave notes and reminders to relatives. Does not get much brighter than that.
