New year, new kitchen trends. While minimalism and increased gold appliances were enormous for 2018, the new year is bringing in a couple of unique suggestions for the heart of the household. If you are arranging a kitchen reno--or only want to get inspired--you will need to understand what designers are doing for 2019. We talked with a few of our trusted sources to listen to what they're seeing--and installingthis year.

1. White Cabinets Are Over
"I love the swing toward daring colored cabinetry rather than the expected white," designer Danielle Rollins tells House Beautiful. "It actually gives a kitchen a character and complete. "Denise McGaha agrees, stating she is using colour on cabinets, walls, and even appliances (such as a plum-colored LaCanche range she is currently installing for one lucky client). Need a drive? What is this pantry by Jim Dove for inspiration

2. Minty Fresh
Even more especially, designers say mint green is your colour du jour. Everybody appears to want light green cabinetry," says Jennifer Beek Hunter, demonstrating this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still squarely in style.

3. Natural Stone
To balance out all that colour, incorporate natural components. In accordance with Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"individuals are falling in love with the subjective canvases painted by Mother Nature and using natural stone beyond countertops. Designers are continuing the stone material to waterfall edges and tall backsplashes." Occasionally they take the stone all the way to the ceiling, and you may even fabricate drawer fronts and hood vent covers from pure stone.

4. Matte Black Everything

Meanwhile, as cupboards are becoming bolder, some appliances are taking another sort of remarkable turn. "Matte black fittings and hardware are growing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was a minimal and stark choice in white contemporary kitchens is now an enjoyable approach to subtly add contrast to wood cabinets and much more traditional, Shaker-style kitchens."

5. High Tech
1 fashion designer Niki Papadopoulos does not see going anywhere is"tech effortlessly incorporated into appliances," she says. The perfect example? Samsung's Family Hub refrigerator, which features a touchscreen display, interior cameras, and WiFi connectivity, which means it is possible to search recipes in the refrigerator, see what's inside while you are searching, and leave notes and reminders to relatives. Does not get much smarter than that.
