New era, new kitchen trends. While minimalism and increased gold appliances were huge for 2018, the new year is bringing in a few unique ideas for the heart of the home. If you're arranging a kitchen reno--or just need to be inspired--you need to understand what designers do for 2019. We talked with some of our trusted resources to listen to what they are seeinginstalling and -- this season.

1. White Cabinets Are Over
"I love the swing toward daring colored cabinetry rather than the expected white," designer Danielle Rollins informs House Beautiful. "It really gives a kitchen a personality and complete. "Denise McGaha agrees, stating she's using colour on walls, cabinets, and even appliances (such as a plum-colored LaCanche range she's now installing for one lucky client). Need a drive? What is this pantry by Jim Dove for inspiration?

2. Minty Fresh
Even more specifically, designers state mint green is the colour du jour. "Everyone appears to need light green cabinetry," states Jennifer Beek Hunter, proving this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still squarely in style.

3. Natural Stone
To balance out all that colour, incorporate natural components. According to Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"individuals are falling in love with the subjective canvases painted by Mother Nature and using natural rock beyond countertops. Designers are continuing the rock material to waterfall edges and tall backsplashes." Occasionally they carry the rock all the way to the ceiling, and you may also fabricate drawer fronts and hood vent covers from natural stone.

4. Matte Black Everything

Meanwhile, as cupboards are becoming bolder, some appliances are taking a different type of dramatic turn. "Matte black fixtures and hardware are growing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was a stark choice in white modern kitchens is presently a fun approach to subtly add comparison to wood cabinets and more traditional, Shaker-style kitchens."

5. High Tech
1 trend designer Niki Papadopoulos doesn't see going anywhere is"technology effortlessly incorporated into appliances," she states. The ideal example? Samsung's Family Hub fridge, which includes a touch screen, interior cameras, and WiFi connectivity, so you can search recipes from the fridge, see what's inside as you're searching, and leave reminders and notes to family members. Does not get much brighter than that.
