New year, new kitchen trends. While minimalism and increased gold appliances were huge for 2018, the new year is bringing in a couple of different suggestions for the heart of the home. If you're planning a kitchen reno--or only need to get inspired--you need to understand what designers do for 2019. We spoke with some of our trusted resources to listen to what they're seeinginstalling and -- --this year.

1.
"I love the swing toward daring colored cabinetry instead of the expected white," designer Danielle Rollins informs House Beautiful. "It really provides a kitchen a character and finish. "Denise McGaha agrees, saying she is using colour on cabinets, walls, as well as appliances (like a plum-colored LaCanche range she is currently installing for one blessed client). Need a push? How's this cabinet by Jim Dove for inspiration?

2. Minty Fresh
Even more especially, designers say mint green is your colour du jour. Everybody appears to need light green cabinetry," states Jennifer Beek Hunter, demonstrating this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still piled in style.

3. Natural Stone
To balance out all this colour, incorporate natural elements. In accordance with Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"individuals are falling in love with all the subjective canvases painted by Mother Nature and using natural stone beyond countertops. Designers are ongoing the stone material to waterfall tall and edges backsplashes." Occasionally they take the stone all the way to the ceiling, and you can also fabricate drawer fronts and hood vent covers from natural stone.

4. Matte Black Everything

Meanwhile, as cupboards are getting warmer, some appliances are taking a different type of dramatic turn. "Matte black fittings and hardware are growing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was a stark option in white modern kitchens is now a fun approach to subtly add comparison to wood cabinets and much more traditional, Shaker-style kitchens."

5. High Tech
1 fashion designer Niki Papadopoulos doesn't see going anywhere is"technology seamlessly integrated into appliances," she states. The ideal example? Samsung's Family Hub fridge, which features a touchscreen display, interior cameras, and WiFi connectivity, so it is possible to search recipes in the fridge, see what's inside as you're searching, and leave reminders and notes to family members. Does not get much brighter than that.
