New era, new kitchen tendencies. While minimalism and increased gold appliances were enormous for 2018, the new year is bringing in a few different ideas for the core of the home. If you are arranging a kitchen reno--or only need to get inspired--you will need to know what designers do for 2019. We talked with some of our trusted resources to hear what they are seeinginstalling and -- --this year.

1. White Cabinets Are Over
"I love the swing toward daring colored cabinetry rather than the anticipated white," designer Danielle Rollins tells House Beautiful. "It really gives a kitchen a character and finish. "Denise McGaha agrees, stating she is using colour on cabinets, walls, and even appliances (such as a plum-colored LaCanche range she is now installing for one blessed client). Need a drive? What is this pantry by Jim Dove for inspiration

2. Minty Fresh
Even more specifically, designers say mint green is your colour du jour. Everybody appears to need light green cabinetry," states Jennifer Beek Hunter, demonstrating this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still piled in style.

3. Natural Stone
To balance out all that colour, incorporate natural elements. In accordance with Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"people are falling in love with the subjective canvases painted by Mother Nature and using natural stone beyond countertops. Designers are ongoing the stone material to waterfall tall and edges backsplashes." Sometimes they carry the stone all the way into the ceiling, and you may also fabricate drawer fronts and hood vent covers from natural stone.

4. Matte Black Everything

Meanwhile, as cupboards are becoming warmer, some appliances are carrying a different type of dramatic turn. "Matte black fittings and hardware are growing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was a minimal and stark choice in all white modern kitchens is now a fun approach to subtly add comparison to wood cabinets and much more traditional, Shaker-style kitchens."

5. High Tech
As our devices get smarter, so, too, do our kitchens. One fashion designer Niki Papadopoulos does not see going anywhere is"technology effortlessly incorporated into appliances," she states. The perfect example? Samsung's Family Hub refrigerator, which features a touch screen, inside cameras, and WiFi connectivity, so you can search recipes in the refrigerator, see what's inside as you are shopping, and leave reminders and notes to relatives. Doesn't get much brighter than that.
