New year, new kitchen trends. While minimalism and increased gold appliances were enormous for 2018, the new year is bringing in a few unique suggestions for the core of the home. If you are arranging a kitchen reno--or only want to get inspired--you will need to know what designers do for 2019. We spoke with a few of our trusted resources to listen to what they're seeing--and installing--this year.

1. White Cabinets Are Over
"I love the swing toward daring colored cabinetry rather than the anticipated white," designer Danielle Rollins informs House Beautiful. "It actually gives a kitchen a character and finish. "Denise McGaha agrees, saying she is using color on walls, cabinets, as well as appliances (such as a plum-colored LaCanche range she is currently installing for one lucky client). Need a drive? What is this pantry by Jim Dove for inspiration

2. Minty Fresh
Even more especially, designers say mint green is the color du jour. Everybody seems to want light green cabinetry," states Jennifer Beek Hunter, proving this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still squarely in style.

3. Natural Stone
To balance out all this color, incorporate natural components. In accordance with Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"individuals are falling in love with the subjective canvases painted by Mother Nature and utilizing natural stone beyond countertops. Designers are continuing the stone material to waterfall edges and tall backsplashes." Sometimes they carry the stone all the way into the ceiling, and you may also create drawer fronts and hood vent covers from pure stone.

4. Matte Black Everything

Meanwhile, as cabinets are becoming warmer, some appliances are taking another sort of remarkable turn. "Matte black fixtures and hardware are growing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was once a stark choice in white contemporary kitchens is now an enjoyable approach to subtly add comparison to wood cabinets and more traditional, Shaker-style kitchens"

5. High Tech
One fashion designer Niki Papadopoulos does not see going anywhere is"technology effortlessly incorporated into appliances," she states. The ideal example? Samsung's Family Hub refrigerator, which includes a touchscreen display, inside cameras, and WiFi connectivity, which means you can search recipes in the refrigerator, see what is inside while you are searching, and leave notes and reminders to relatives. Doesn't get much smarter than that.
