New era, new kitchen trends. While minimalism and increased gold appliances were enormous for 2018, the new year is bringing in a few different ideas for the core of the home. If you're arranging a kitchen reno--or just need to be inspired--you need to know what designers do for 2019. We talked with some of our trusted resources to hear what they are seeinginstalling and -- --this season.

1. White Cabinets Are Over
"I really like the swing toward bold colored cabinetry rather than the anticipated white," designer Danielle Rollins informs House Beautiful. "It actually provides a kitchen a personality and finish. "Denise McGaha agrees, saying she's using colour on walls, cabinets, as well as appliances (such as a plum-colored LaCanche range she's currently installing for one lucky client). Need a push? How's this cabinet by Jim Dove for inspiration?

2. Minty Fresh
Even more specifically, designers say mint green is your colour du jour. "Everyone seems to need light green cabinetry," says Jennifer Beek Hunter, demonstrating this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still piled in style.

3. Natural Stone
To balance out all this colour, incorporate natural components. In accordance with Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"people are falling in love with all the subjective canvases painted by Mother Nature and using natural rock beyond countertops. Designers are ongoing the rock material to waterfall edges and tall backsplashes." Occasionally they carry the rock all the way to the ceiling, and you can also create drawer fronts and hood vent covers from pure stone.

4. Matte Black Everything

Meanwhile, as cupboards are getting warmer, some appliances are taking another sort of remarkable turn. "Matte black fittings and hardware are growing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was once a minimal and stark option in all white modern kitchens is now a fun approach to subtly add contrast to wood cabinets and more conventional, Shaker-style kitchens."

5. High Tech
One fashion designer Niki Papadopoulos doesn't see going anywhere is"tech effortlessly incorporated into appliances," she says. The ideal example? Samsung's Family Hub fridge, which includes a touchscreen display, interior cameras, and WiFi connectivity, which means it is possible to search recipes from the fridge, see what's inside while you're searching, and leave notes and reminders to relatives. Doesn't get much brighter than that.
