New year, new kitchen trends. While minimalism and rose gold appliances were enormous for 2018, the new year is bringing in a few different suggestions for the heart of the household. If you're planning a kitchen reno--or just need to get inspired--you will need to understand what designers do for 2019. We spoke with a few of our trusted sources to listen to what they're seeinginstalling and -- --this season.

1.
"I love the swing toward daring colored cabinetry rather than the expected white," designer Danielle Rollins tells House Beautiful. "It actually provides a kitchen a personality and finish. "Denise McGaha agrees, saying she is using color on cabinets, walls, and even appliances (like a plum-colored LaCanche range she is now installing for one lucky client). Need a push? What is this pantry by Jim Dove for inspiration

2. Minty Fresh
Even more especially, designers say mint green is your color du jour. "Everyone appears to need light green cabinetry," states Jennifer Beek Hunter, demonstrating this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still squarely in style.

3. Natural Stone
To balance out all this color, incorporate natural components. According to Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"individuals are falling in love with all the subjective canvases painted by Mother Nature and utilizing natural rock beyond countertops. Designers are continuing the rock material to waterfall edges and tall backsplashes." Sometimes they take the rock all the way into the ceiling, and you may even create drawer fronts and hood vent covers out of pure stone.

4. Matte Black Everything

Meanwhile, as cabinets are getting warmer, some appliances are carrying a different type of dramatic turn. "Matte black fixtures and hardware are growing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was once a minimal and stark option in white modern kitchens is now a fun way to subtly add contrast to timber cabinets and much more traditional, Shaker-style kitchens"

5. High Tech
1 trend designer Niki Papadopoulos doesn't see going anywhere is"tech seamlessly integrated into appliances," she states. The ideal example? Samsung's Family Hub refrigerator, which features a touch screen, interior cameras, and WiFi connectivity, so it is possible to search recipes in the refrigerator, see what is inside as you're shopping, and leave reminders and notes to relatives. Doesn't get much brighter than that.
