There are a lot of gadgets available aimed at assisting us with the daunting task of falling asleep--weighted blankets, noise machines, noise cancelling cushions, you name it. But these apartments in London take it one step farther --fine, multiple steps--by designing whole rooms around the idea of falling and staying asleep.
Design-focused serviced apartment brand Cuckooz teamed up with a UK-based mattress firm, Simba, to create three apartments in Spitalfields, which will be close to Liverpool Street in London.
"The Woom Room" bed is the most fascinating part of the sleep-inducing flats --the frame itself utilizes slats of plywood fitted together to create a sense of being enclosed into a mother's womb, mimicking a cocoon-like layout.
