"I really like the swing toward daring colored cabinetry rather than the expected white," designer Danielle Rollins tells House Beautiful. "It really provides a kitchen a character and finish. "Denise McGaha agrees, saying she is using color on walls, cabinets, as well as appliances (like a plum-colored LaCanche range she is now installing for one blessed client). Need a drive? 2. Minty Fresh
Even more especially, designers state mint green is your color du jour. "Everyone seems to need light green cabinetry," says Jennifer Beek Hunter, demonstrating this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still piled in style.
3. Natural Stone
To balance out all that color, incorporate natural components. In accordance with Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"individuals are falling in love with all the abstract canvases painted by Mother Nature and using natural rock beyond countertops. Designers are ongoing the rock material to waterfall tall and edges backsplashes." Sometimes they take the rock all the way to the ceiling, and you may even fabricate drawer fronts and hood vent covers out of pure stone.
4. Matte Black Everything
Meanwhile, as cupboards are getting warmer, some appliances are carrying another sort of remarkable turn. "Matte black fixtures and hardware are increasing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was a stark choice in white contemporary kitchens is presently a fun way to subtly add comparison to wood cabinets and much more conventional, Shaker-style kitchens"
5. High Tech
One trend designer Niki Papadopoulos doesn't see going anywhere is"tech effortlessly incorporated into appliances," she says. The ideal example? Samsung's Family Hub fridge, which features a touch screen, inside cameras, and WiFi connectivity, so you can search recipes in the refrigerator, see what is inside as you are searching, and leave notes and reminders to family members. Doesn't get much brighter than that.
