New year, new kitchen trends. While minimalism and increased gold appliances were enormous for 2018, the new year is bringing in a few different suggestions for the core of the household. If you're arranging a kitchen reno--or only need to be inspired--you will need to understand what designers do for 2019. We talked with a few of our trusted sources to hear what they are seeing--and installingthis season.

1.
"I love the swing toward daring colored cabinetry instead of the anticipated white," designer Danielle Rollins tells House Beautiful. "It actually provides a kitchen a character and finish. "Denise McGaha agrees, saying she is using color on cabinets, walls, as well as appliances (like a plum-colored LaCanche range she is currently installing for one blessed client). Need a drive? How's this cabinet by Jim Dove for inspiration?

2. Minty Fresh
Even more especially, designers state mint green is your color du jour. Everybody seems to need light green cabinetry," says Jennifer Beek Hunter, demonstrating this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still piled in style.

3. Natural Stone
To balance out all that color, incorporate natural components. According to Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"individuals are falling in love with all the abstract canvases painted by Mother Nature and using natural stone beyond countertops. Designers are ongoing the stone material to waterfall tall and edges backsplashes." Occasionally they carry the stone all the way into the ceiling, and you may even fabricate drawer fronts and hood vent covers from pure stone.

4. Matte Black Everything

Meanwhile, as cabinets are getting warmer, some appliances are carrying a different type of remarkable turn. "Matte black fixtures and hardware are increasing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was a minimal and stark choice in all white modern kitchens is now a fun approach to subtly add comparison to wood cabinets and more traditional, Shaker-style kitchens"

5. High Tech
One fashion designer Niki Papadopoulos does not see going anywhere is"tech effortlessly incorporated into appliances," she says. The perfect example? Samsung's Family Hub refrigerator, which includes a touch screen, inside cameras, and WiFi connectivity, so it is possible to search recipes from the fridge, see what is inside as you're searching, and leave reminders and notes to family members. Doesn't get much smarter than that.
