New era, new kitchen tendencies. While minimalism and rose gold appliances were huge for 2018, the new year is bringing in a couple of unique ideas for the core of the household. If you're arranging a kitchen reno--or just need to be inspired--you will need to know what designers are doing for 2019. We talked with a few of our trusted resources to hear what they are seeinginstalling and -- --this year.

1. White Cabinets Are Over
"I really like the swing toward daring colored cabinetry rather than the anticipated white," designer Danielle Rollins tells House Beautiful. "It really provides a kitchen a personality and finish. "Denise McGaha agrees, saying she is using colour on walls, cabinets, as well as appliances (like a plum-colored LaCanche range she is currently installing for one blessed client). Need a push? What is this cabinet by Jim Dove for inspiration

2. Minty Fresh
Even more especially, designers state mint green is your colour du jour. "Everyone seems to need light green cabinetry," states Jennifer Beek Hunter, proving this kitchen by Young Huh from 2012 is still squarely in style.

3. Natural Stone
To balance out all that colour, incorporate natural elements. In accordance with Los Angeles-based Natalie Meyers,"individuals are falling in love with the subjective canvases painted by Mother Nature and utilizing natural rock beyond countertops. Designers are continuing the rock material to waterfall tall and edges backsplashes." Sometimes they take the rock all the way to the ceiling, and you may even fabricate drawer fronts and hood vent covers from natural stone.

4. Matte Black Everything

Meanwhile, as cupboards are getting bolder, some appliances are carrying a different type of remarkable turn. "Matte black fittings and hardware are increasing in popularity," Meyers says. "What was a minimal and stark choice in white modern kitchens is presently a fun way to subtly add contrast to wood cabinets and more conventional, Shaker-style kitchens."

5. High Tech
One trend designer Niki Papadopoulos doesn't see going anywhere is"tech seamlessly integrated into appliances," she states. The perfect example? Samsung's Family Hub fridge, which includes a touch screen, interior cameras, and WiFi connectivity, which means you can search recipes in the fridge, see what's inside as you're shopping, and leave reminders and notes to family members. Does not get much brighter than that.
